John Pearl Lawson more often know as Paw Paw was born and raised in the foothills of Williamsburg, Kentucky. During his youth John watched his dad ,with delight, work as a blacksmith. When John was older he met and married Barbara "Maw Maw" Lawson and worked locally for the Robinette Company. Through his childhood and his years of work experience John was able to come up with the idea of our pull behind train. He was able to sketch up his idea and then build it from scratch in his very own blacksmith shop in order to bring smiles to the faces of thousands of children that we see annually.
